Seven New MLP Books For 2013/2014

The Little, Brown and Company Books for Young Readers catalogue for Fall 2013 - Winter 2014 included an entire segment on upcoming pony books! Lets take a look.

Long post to follow!

A very exciting release for toy fans: the Mini Pony Collectors Guide!
MY LITTLE PONY fans of all ages will go head over hooves for this complete collector’s guide to all the two-inch-tall mini ponies that come in either blind bags or packaged sets. Full-color, actual-size photos of each mini pony, and its accompanying trading card outline each wave and set, including all the secret chase figures.

The book will be blister packed with an exclusive Tealove figure, which the catalogue boasts has never before released in the U.S. This is true! Tealove was originally a part of the second wave of blind bag ponies, which never made it state-side.

Mini Pony Collectors Guide will cost $19.00 ($21.00 CAN). It will also be available as an eBook.

The Cutie Mark Crusaders Doodle Book by Emily Hughes ($13.00. $14.00 CAN):
Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle are the Cutie Mark Crusaders—they are school-age ponies eager to discover their special talents and earn their Cutie Marks! In this fun creatively prompted doodle book, attend school with the trio, help the ponies design crusader capes, decorate their clubhouse, and try out different talents!

Welcome to the Crystal Empire! by Olivia London ($4.99. $5.50 CAN. Also available as an eBook):
Twilight Sparkle tours the Crystal empire with her brother and sister-in-law. She learns all about what happened to it in the past, attends the Crystal Faire, meets lots of Crystal Ponies, and gets to stay in a special room in the castle with her very own library! Come explore the sparkling world of the Crystal empire! Illustrated with vivid brand artwork and images from the show.

Holly, Jolly Harmony by D. Jakobs ($4.99. $5.50 CAN. Also available as an eBook. Includes punch-out ornament!):
It’s Hearth’s Warming Eve in Ponyville, and the ponies put on a special pageant to celebrate the story of the founding of Equestria, a winter tale about how the three tribes of ponies learned to live together in harmony. This level 2 reader is based on a holiday episode of the television show that airs on the HUB network.

Hearts and Hooves by Jennifer Frantz ($4.99. $5.50 CAN. Also available as an eBook. Includes punch-out Valentines!):
In this Level 1 reader, the Cutie Mark Crusaders are so excited to celebrate Hearts and Hooves Day! They go on a mission to find a special somepony for their teacher, Cheerilee, but soon realize they are in big trouble when their love potion spell misfires! Based on the fan favorite television show Friendship is Magic, which airs on the HUB.

A "Super Special" chapter book by G. M. Berrow, which will be a tie-in to an animated special and accompanying toy line. Based on that, the logo, and the description below, I am guessing this book will be based on Equestria Girls. ($6.99. $7.99 CAN. Also available as an eBook):
Get an exciting longer story in our first Super Special chapter book for MY LITTLE PONY. In an effort to regain her stolen crown, Princess Twilight Sparkle steps through a magical mirror, into a completely new world where some things have changed, but true friendships remain magical!

Rainbow Dash and the Daring Do Double Dare by G. M. Berrow ($5.99. $6.50 CAN. Also available as an eBook). This is the third instalment in a series of My Little Pony chapter books for kids ages 8 - 12, preceded by Twilight Sparkle and the Crystal Heart Spell and Pinkie Pie and the Rockin' Pony Palooza.
Rainbow Dash has always been a huge fan of the Daring Do series, but when the newest book comes out, it’s Daring Do madness! The pony wants to prove she can be just a brave and “daring” as her hero. Before she knows it, she becomes “Daring Dash.” and is doing all sorts of crazy things—tightrope walking (no wings!), hot chili pepper eating, and even sneaking inside a spooky old barn. But when Rainbow Dash offers to help Zecora by entering a scary, haunted forest alone, her friends worry she’s jumping into too much danger. Just how daring should one pony be?
