Canadian Release for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Elemental Paradise at the MLP Arena spoke to a Hasbro representative at the Fan Expo in Toronto, who,
"...confirmed that the MLP show will be aired in Canada (which we kind of already knew, I think), but she wasn't sure exactly when it would happen."To MLPNews' knowledge, this is the first confirmation of a release for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic outside of the US, though it has been previously implied that the series would be released internationally. A Canadian release may have been assumed based on the fact that the animation studio for the series, Studio B Productions, is in Canada.
Hasbro has shared that the TV show will be released only in the US this fall, so the Canadian release will be no sooner than Winter 2010.

RK Sports Promotions is hosting a free Sports Card, Comic, Toy & Collectibles Show, August 27, 28 & 29, 2010, at the Wildwoods Convention Center in Wildwood, New Jersey. The show will be open Fri: 3 p.m. - 9 p.m., Sat: 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., and Sun: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tinkerbee from the MLPTP will be there with some My Little Ponies, and says,
"This show is an odd mix with only some toys so I would not recommend driving far to attend, however if you are in the area it is a free show in the Convention Center right on the boardwalk and its open all weekend long and the best part......its at Wildwood!!!"

MLP News has noticed a mysterious trend when searching for My Little Pony on Twitter - lots of people are tweeting "I wanna play My Little Pony". While the sentiment is appreciated, it's a bit unusual to see it repeated over and over again (on Twitter at least; no doubt some Moms are quite used to the phrase being repeated). As it turns out, it's a lyric for a new song by parody group The Midnight Beast: Booty Call. The lyric comes towards the end of the song,
"I wanna have cheese pepperoni
I wanna play my little pony"

There's a new Pinkie Pie Animated Storyteller plush available in the UK, according to Ringlets at the MLP Arena.
"I found this G3.5 plush Pinkie Pie today in Smyths toy store (UK) she tells stories and comes with 4 books so you can follow along ( they have G3.5 art on the outside but the stories inside are normal G3 , possibly from the cartoon series? the box says Hasbro 2010) . She also sings 6 songs. When she tells a story or sings, her mouth moves.... she comes with a leaflet that explains how she works, but she doesnt come with a pamphlet. There werent any other kinds of these in the shop so not sure if Pinkie is the only character..."Thanks Ringlets!

"I had gone to the Hub event that hasbro was holding at the Hilton during Comic-con and saw a mini promo for the show that was shown in-between a loop of another promo that showed snippets of the show's coming to the network.If you have any footage of this promo or can share a link to it, please contact MLP News or leave a comment on this post.
Be advised I'm recalling this all from memory, so I may have missed some details.
In the promo it showed the unicorn(now confirmed as Twilight Sparkle) and Spike arriving via Hot-air ballon in the center of a village with pony's going about their business.(a deffintely male pony is seen pulling a cart or plow, and elderly pony is seen walking by with a kerchief around her neck and a couple of little kid ponies)
They exit the balloon and come upon the rest of the cast(Rainbow Dash arriving just as they get there, she's seen at the begining zooming past a castle as T & S take off) and pose for the screen. Spike takes a picture and skorches it with fire, the ashes rise into the air and a blown back to the castle where they are magically put back together for the Queen sitting on her throne guarded by 2 ponies in armor and spartan helmets.
I wished I had recorded the clip while I was there, but since the tv showing it had no sound and I thought smeone would have put it on youtube by the time I got home, I didn't. :("

As soon as I saw the first pictures of the series, I was immediatly impressed by your style I created my facebook page [link] . Note that I am born deaf and I résisde in France where the translation of Google a little .. strange I'd like to know if the series will be subtitled in several languages? For we must admit, the first series of the 80s is available on DVD, but no subtitle is proposed. In short, I really hope FINALLY able to follow the new adventures of my little pony this time. I hope this message will happen one day in the ears of a "deaf" on behalf of all fans (deaf or not) everywhere!

Rarity - Name of "Friendship is Magic" Unicorn With Diamond Cutie Mark

Sibsy has revealed the name of another My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic character: Rarity. Rarity is a white unicorn with purple hair and a blue diamond cutie mark (hip symbol). She has been compared to G1 (1981 to 1995) ponies Glory and Sparkler.

Rarity will be one of the main supporting characters of the Friendship is Magic cast. Twilight Sparkle is the lead, with Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Applejack and Fluttershy as the other main characters.
As with Fluttershy, Hasbro has previously released a different pony named Rarity as a G3 (2003-2009) pony.

The previous version of Rarity was a pink unicorn with a heart cutie mark. She was featured in the movie My Little Pony: The Runaway Rainbow.
