SnorkMaiden at the MLP Arena has spotted G4 ponies in Germany. This is the first sighting for G4s in Europe.

"... I decided to check out the MLPs in the nearest Müller (actually a drug store, but bigger stores have got a toy section). At first, I only saw the usual boring G3 and G3.5 stuff. And then...

...I could hardly believe my eyes...

...G4s!!!!

I was so amazed that I just stood there, unable to take it in. But they were really there: Fluttershy's nursery (12.99€, in case you're interested), Bright'n'Shine Pinkie Pie (9.99€) and Rarity and her carriage (14.99€)."

Sendell at the MLP Arena also found G4s in France.

"Today at my supermarket they had the singles and a few playsets (pinkie pie and sweetie belle, and fluttershy too), along with these strange G4s with a saddle and a strange pose."

It's a box of rather large gummy lollies with a magnet include.

The lolly is pretty big...and is kind of like a big gummy snake with a pony for a head"

Lina's Custom Design Contest at the MLP Arena

Lina at the MLP Arena is holding a custom design contest. Enter by January 31, 2011.

"I had this bait around for a while, and I just don't know what to do with it. But it would be a waste if I never breathed life into her...so I thought, maybe someone's interested in designing something!

She has pink twinkle eyes (I think she used to be Galaxy) and her body is full painted with a pearly berry color.

Now these are the "rules" for this little contest:
- design something, you can either describe it in detail or make a sketch of it. please post in this thread or send a PM.
- i would prefer not to sculpt on this pony, as she is already painted and normally i sculpt before painting.
- you may design stuff like painting, hair color + style, glitter and crystals. ^^ not all are neccessary, but those are possible.
- you may post as many entries as you like.
- i will choose the design i like best, make the custom and send it to the designer for free."

2011 My Little Pony Fair Date Change

There has been a date change for the 2011 MLP Fair:

"Please notice that the date of the 2011 My Little Pony Fair has been changed to July 8th and 9th instead of the previously announced date of July 22nd-23rd. Hasbro didn't realize that both The Fair and Comic Con were scheduled on the same weekend and moved the Fair to the 8th and 9th of July so we can have more Hasbro production employees involved in the Fair."

Whoops, I missed that My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic premiered on Treehouse in Canada yesterday, Wednesday, January 5, 2010. According to the My Little Pony Facebook Page, the show will air "three times a week on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays!" The show is scheduled at 6:00pm ET on Wednesdays. The My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Wikipedia Page says "Season 2 Affirmed" in it's sidebar. A source for the information is unfortunately not cited. Still, exciting news if it's true, and the series definitely deserves a second season.

Is G4 Scootaloo a Pegasus?

The above image, from the My Little Pony Facebook page, may indicate that Scootaloo will be a baby pegasus in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. While Scootaloo is listed in the credits for the series (with Madeline Peters as her voice), she has yet to be featured in an episode, though there has been some speculation that she had a cameo in episode 1.

In that possible cameo she was seen with baby ponies Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle.

The coloration of the pony in the Facebook page image and the screenshot is in keeping with previous G3 incarnations of Scootaloo.

Rainbow Dash was transformed from G3 Earth Pony to G4 pegasus for MLP:FiM, so the change is not without precedent. It would also provide a nice balance to the baby ponies in the series, with one earth pony (Apple Bloom), one unicorn (Sweetie Belle), and one pegasus.

MLP Friendship is Magic in Italy

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic will be broadcast in Italy via MediaSet "Italy's leading media group", according to a recent Hasbro press release. MediaSet will also be "serving as Hasbro's exclusive licensing agent for merchandise" for MLP:FiM. This deal launches in the fourth quarter of 2011, so Italians will still have to wait a little while for the new ponies.

Select movie theatres will be showing My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic on January 8 and 9, 2011 at noon. It will be a double feature with The Adventures of Chuck and Friends, put on by Kidtoons. For locations, visit National Amusements Theatres.

"Admission is only $3.50 plus you will receive a concession coupon for a $3.50 KIDS COMBO."

It is not clear what episode(s) will be showing.
