Pony Science - Pony Cancer Under a Microscope

BlackCurtains at the MLP Arena has moved the pony community forward in the fight against pony cancer, by identifying a potential cause. Pony cancer appears as impossible to remove brown spots on older ponies; pony collectors have theorized that the cause may be plastic deterioration or mold. As you can see in the above video, a slice of pony cancer appears to have bacteria around the cancer spot. More research is needed to determine where the bacteria is indeed the cause of pony cancer, but it's a significant breakthrough.
BlackCurtains is seeking donations of cancer-striken ponies or pony cancer spots to continue this research.
There are also microscopic images of pin-dot available here. Pin-dot is another vintage pony affliction that appears as a rash of small black dots. BlackCurtain's research shows that the damage does not go entirely through the plastic, though does not determine a cause for the discoloration.
ETA: Here is the original MLP Arena thread where BlackCurtains posted this video: Pony Cancer - Magnified
