Equestria Daily posted these audition sides for Apple Bloom. According to a comment from BronyMike,
"This is an old audition script from (as far as I know) before the show was made. This is beta-FIM. I'm not even sure if I'm allowed to release this thing, I got a copy from a guy I took voiceover lessons from. He got it from his agent."
One interesting aspect of the sides is that it shows that Gilda (a character from Season 1, Episode 5) was originally named Grizelda.

The Brony Show is holding a couple of Contests:
"The first contest is a picture contest. We want to see your title cards for The Brony Show. They can be new art, or images from MLP. The encouraged ratio should be a widescreen 16:9 if possible. The top 5 will be voted on and the winner will receive a 5 piece MLP gift set and their work will become a permanent part of The Brony Show
The second contest is a music contest. We want to get an awesome opening music score for the show. Remixes and new works will be accepted. We would like them to be 30 seconds or more in length. The top 5 will be put up to be voted on, and the winner will receive a 5 piece MLP gift set and their music will become a permanent part of The Brony Show.
Along with this there is also a special contest going on for either entry. If you make a good opening video (30 seconds in length or more) you can win not only a 5 piece MLP gift set and a permanent part of the show, but you will also receive two brushable ponies of your choice of the Mane cast, and it will all come in a MLP backpack for you to carry them around in."
Deadline for entry is June 6, 2011 at 9pm ET/6pm PT. For more information, including how to enter, visit The Brony Show. A little about The Brony Show:
"The Brony Show is a fan show made...to celebrate and enjoy the cartoon My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic that has become an incredible internet phenomenon with an ever growing fanbase.
The show is live every Monday at 9pm Eastern - 6pm Pacific at www.livestream.com/thebronyshow. There are also archives there of the shows if you happen to miss it but still want to keep up with everything. Every episode we go through a live commentary of an episode, and talk about everything going on with the pony community, sometimes to an incredible and deep degree."

"I quickly discovered that unlike other fandoms, MLP:FiM didn't have a website dedicated to its fanfiction. Sites like Equestria Daily linked out to some, but they were all hosted on random deviantArt and Google Docs accounts. I felt there should be a place where everyone could keep their stories, and a place where readers could easily browse for new and favorite fiction."
The My Little Pony Lexicon, a previously featured site, serves this purpose for general pony fanfiction, but this new site fills a gap for Friendship is Magic fanfiction.

"This promo spot that will debut on air after our family movie on saturday [May 28, 2011]. The promo uses original voice talent from the show and has some special lines in tribute to our favorite Pony fans."
"The full music video will premiere on The Hub during the first commercial break of the Garfield movie at 5pm ET. It will run on our air in regular rotation from that point forward. We will be playing two back to back episodes of MLP on Saturday 5/28 [2011] as part of our Summer Preview, and double episodes of Pony on Saturday mornings all summer long! We hope all our fast-fine-fierce "pony-fabulous" friends tune in!"
The special lines reference Bronies (male My Little Pony fans, or in this context male My Little Ponies, I suppose) and DJ P0N-3 (a fan name for a background pony from Season 1, Episode 14, "Suited for Success". Incidentally, I always assumed it was pronounced DJ PON-E, like l33t, not PON-three, as it was pronounced in the video).
(I must admit I'm a little jealous that The Hub would call bronies their "favorite fans." Where's the love for the collector community, and other adult female fans? Still, it's pretty cool that they're aware of an audience outside of little girls.)
InStyle Magazine's June 2011 edition features a tour of Paris Hilton's mansion, including a photo of Paris' My Little Pony collection. The modest collection, shown above, includes an assortment of Pinkie Pie ponies.
"Yes, it has happened. “Physical Impossibilities in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.” For our project, we had to find three scenes from any movie or TV show and use physics to find out if something was or wasn’t possible. I got 100% on it."
Daniel Ingram, composer for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, has another interview, this time for The Express. His segment starts at about 2:36 into the video. Not a lot about pony in this one, but it's still great to see the MLP composer get so much attention. Ingram was recently interviewed by 24 Hours Vancouver.
Another G4 cake decoration has popped up, a decorating kit with Twilight Sparkle and Applejack. This time without the big barn though. See earlier posts G4 Cake Decorations and More G4 Cake Decorations for other Friendship is Magic cake goodies.

The MLP Arena is having a restoration contest, starting June 1, 2011.
"Pull those bald, dirty, marked-up G1s out of hiding and get ready for the Arena’s first Restoration Contest! Never had a go at restoration before? Not to worry! This is the perfect opportunity for restorers—new and experienced alike—to pick up some nifty tips and tricks, beautify an unloved pony, and win prizes!"
Participants must provide their own pony to restore, and will have 6 weeks to complete the restoration. Winners will be chosen by a panel of the Arena's moderators.
"Winners will be chosen based on their before and after pictures and descriptions. The end result isn’t as important as how much change took place. For example, a participant who begins with a pony in good condition and ends with it near mint may not do as well as someone who took a terrible bait and turned it into a pony in fair condition."

24 Hours Vancouver has an interview with Daniel Ingram, composer for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, in their May 20-23, 2011 edition. Read it here. It mentions a solo song for Twilight Sparkle in Season 2.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic will be showing three times every weekday on The Hub, starting May 31, 2011, according to ultra8 at the MLP Arena. The new schedule will show episodes at 8:30am, 1:30pm and 6:30pm ET.

Blind Bag Lucky Swirl and Playful Pony Lulu Luck are similar case of matching ponies with different names, and Lulu Luck hasn't been officially released in the US either)...

The Maryland Pony Meet is holding a post-meet auction, with proceeds benefiting St. Jude's Children's hospital. The auction ends on May 24, 2011 at 6:00pm PDT.
A 30-year old UK man has been tattooed with a pink My Little Pony for charity. From thisisoxfordshire:
"By getting friends to vote for which cartoon star would get the nod, [Brian Adams] the 30-year-old from Littlemore has raised more than £1,300 for the charity (SSNAP), which supports the special care baby unit at Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital.
...
Anyone who donated money was able to nominate their choice of character, with each pound counting as one vote.
...
Mr Adams said he decided to raise funds for SSNAP after visiting the centre.
...
He said: “I’m still hoping people will give more donations.
“As a dad I really wanted to help young babies at the JR and I was really moved when I visited the ward.
“I was told it costs about £1,000 a day to keep a young baby alive in the unit, so this money is a drop in the ocean really but every little helps.
“At the end of the day it’s just a bit of skin and I’m glad I could help.”
About 100 people cast their votes in the competition."
Someone has made a pony radio station! Celestia Radio plays nothing but songs and remixes from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. (Admittedly I'd love it even more if it offered vintage MLP music, but still, a pony radio station is pretty cool.)

Lady Gaga was recently photographed wearing a My Little Pony necklace. It appears to have several G3.5 heads, and an entire Rarity pony hanging from it.
Once upon a time in the 90's, I had a program called Neko on my computer. It was a little cat which wandered around my desktop, chasing the mouse, taking naps, and generally being cute. It seems like a billion years ago (technologically speaking), but cuteness is apparently timeless, and now there are Desktop Ponies - a collection of ponies that wander around the desktop, generally being cute. Each pony seems to do different things - Rainbow Dash flies and does a sonic rainboom for example. Download them here.
This ad for a Polish Pony Magazine with an offer for a free pony camera was posted on Equestria Daily. Apparently the magazine has been around for some time, and is starting to introduce the G4 ponies. From an anonymous commenter:
"It's from the polish MLP magazine where the new ponies are finally introduced.
It even have a Ticket Master episode on VCD."
Interestingly, while the ad shows the Friendship is Magic ponies, the cameras have G3.5 ponies on them.
2010 MLP Fair - Photo by TraderTif at the MLP Arena
A rough schedule for the 2011 MLP Fair has been posted at the MLP Arena.
"You will notice that we have two bus pick up times and two bus drop off times each day. If you signed up for the motor coach you will be assigned bus times soon (We are making sure of the times before we assign people to each bus). Also, Hasbro is unable to allow us to screen the film My Little Obsession at Hasbro Headquarters. We have reserved space at the Renaissance Hotel on Friday evening and will split Fair attendees into two groups so everyone can have a chance to attend the screening. These assignments will be made soon after we hash out the motor coach transportation details.
Here is the tentative schedule at the moment. Obviously it is just the bare bones, but it should help you plan your days. Please note that we will have exact bus times as soon as we get them confirmed through the motor coach company.

Several questions about parking have been asked. Hasbro assured us yesterday that there will be free parking available at Hasbro. You will not need a special permit to park if you are driving your own vehicle."
Anime North, a convention on May 27-29, 2011 in Toronto, Canada, will have a few pony themed events this year, according to Elfpony at the MLP Arena.
"There's an MLP panel and they're screening some of FIM.
Also...through a strange series of events that I was only somewhat involved in, I'm doing two panels at AN this year on MLP. One is on customizing and one is on collecting."

"At the Gala" Choir Session - Photo by Daniel Ingram
Daniel Ingram, composer for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, posted several behind-the-scenes photos of the choir session for "At the Gala", a song from Season 1, Episode 26, on his Facebook Page. See the song with the animation here.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic will soon be shown on planes in Spain, according to a Discovery Press Release.
"Effective immediately, Discovery Enterprises International (DEI), the international program sales and licensing arm of Discovery Communications, will introduce Hasbro's signature entertaining, enlightening and educational kids and family content to global airlines attending the APEX TV Market in Madrid, Spain."
The agreement covers 52 episodes, presumably Seasons 1 and 2.
When news of Season 2 first came out, Top Draw Animation listed 24 episodes for the season. However, Equestria Daily reports that Daniel Ingram (composer for FiM) posted a resume listing 26 episodes in Season 2. As it is possible that Top Draw was not involved in all episodes for Season 2, and as Season 1 had 26 episodes, it seems likely that Season 2 will also have 26 episodes.
"So how can Top Draw say they are doing 24 episodes this year for Season 2 of FiM, and my credit list say 26, and BOTH be accurate? Because 2 episodes for season 2 were animated in 2010 as part of the Season 1 package. They are now sitting on a shelf deep in Hasbro Studios waiting patiently for the other 24 to join them."
A My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (G4) Jumbo Coloring and Activity Book has been spotted in Target's dollar section, according to Equestria Daily. The only other G4 coloring book I've seen is the French Pinkie Pie Coloring Book.

Packaging for the ponies featured at the 2011 Toy Fair (see also) has been leaked from China on taobao.com, according to Sanadaookami at the MLP Arena. Of particular note is the identity of the purple So Soft Newborn: Sunny Daze. This is another case of Hasbro applying a G3 pony name to a very different G4 pony.

Derpy Hooves, fan favorite goofy-expressioned background pony from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, is an official character, according to MLP animator Kreoss:
"...Derpy (Who has now became an official Character here. I wouldn't be surprised if she has her own character sheet/model with preset expressions)."

greywolf1978 at the MLP Arena spotted this G4 rolling backpack at Walmart for $10. It has the same art as another G4 backpack, but different coloring. I thought it might be the smaller backpack on the merchandise wall at the Toyfair, but greywolf1978 said, "It was on the small side but I think it looks a bit bigger then the smaller one in the toyfair pics that has the same image on it."
